Fishpork’s 40 Favorite Tracks of 2012

Our list of favorite tracks this year is also a good indication of what albums we had on repeat throughout 2012. We see no issue with including multiple tracks from several releases, including Blanck Mass, Keaton Henson, Black Moth Super Rainbow, Beach House, Father John Misty, and Animal Collective. We’re not trying to be taste makers or provide any kind of voice for aging hipsters, but we would encourage you to listen to what actually sounds good when your vestibular nerve carries those sounds to your brain. Avoid hyped bands at all costs, as most offer hollow, uninspired efforts usually coated in a layer of unoriginality.
